Is there an On/Off switch for Cancer?

Quick answer is possibly so.

I will try not to go into too much detail here, and let someone more qualified tell you the details about this alternative approach to cancer treatment and prevention. Please read down to view the link to a very good article about the alkaline approach to treating cancer and preventing it. What I would like to do is tell you a personal story.

As too many of us know, Cancer can change lives and take lives. I have seen both of my mother's parents pass away due to cancer. I know many other people who could tell you about someone they have lost to a battle with cancer. I don't want to take you down the path of loss though, but instead want to tell you a little story about success.

My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October of 2010. The news came as a shock to our whole family, but I think my father took it the hardest. Few things can cause you to reexamine your life quite like the diagnosis of a potentially terminal disease. Fortunately, living in Houston, we have the great support of MD Anderson, one of the finest cancer treatment centers in the world. Through this support my father and his wife (my stepmother) learned of ways to treat this prostate cancer. My father chose to treat his cancer in 3 ways. He took an oral drug treatment for 90 days, changed his diet, and had surgery to remove the tumor. The key to the surgical removal of the tumor was keeping it from growing and also trying to shrink it's size. While the oral drug therapy no doubt helped, it is my belief that my father's change to a plant based diet rid of processed animal foods was the key to his success. Not only did the tumor not grow any larger, but it actually reduced in size making it much more manageable to remove.

In April 2011 my father showed nothing remaining of his surgically removed tumor, and since has not had any signs of returning cancer. Ofcourse, now both my father and stepmom have continued eating a plant based diet. My stepmom has record low cholesterol levels and I believe my father's battle with cancer is over so long as he continues this type of diet. This is just one story of how what we eat can actually treat and prevent Cancer.

In the article below you can read more about how this is possible. How eating plenty of vegetables and no processed animal foods can affect the pH of our body. Cancer thrives in an acidic environment. By limiting our animal proteins and maximizing our vegetable intake, we can raise the pH level inside our body to be more alkaline. An alkaline environment has been shown to stop cancerous growth (1.) and may even revert cancerous cells back to normal function. As with many things, this theory requires more research. However, it has worked for my father and a host of others. Adopting a more plant based diet can not only help prevent or stop cancer, but it can improve your overall quality of life. No hot dog tastes that good in my opinion. I'll take improved health and a body that is an anti-cancer environment.

Now do yourself a favor and read at least the first page of the article below.
